Zombie man 2

You may already be noticing a zombie theme here!  Zombies are HUGE in my household.  This one in particular was for my son’s 7th or 8th birthday

Again, this is an old pattern and used to be up on my old website.  I cannot even begin to tell you how excited Jeremiah and I were when he found my zombie during a google search!

This is a simple zombie pattern and should be OK for beginners:

Nostrils: (make 2)

Sew together as shown and stuff head.

Jacket:
chain a foundation. Use sc to make a rectangle the appropriate size, depending on the yarn. I used a very thick yarn, so it was approximately 20 sc around by approx 12 rows.  Fold in half, sew the bottom closed, stuff the top and sew closed.

Arms:
with the same colour as the jacket, form a magic ring or chain 2. 4 sc in the second chain from hook.  4 sc around until the arms are the right length or approx 12 rows long.  Do not stuff.

Hands in grey:
Chain 2, 4 sc in second chain from hook
repeat 4 sc around for 3 rows.  Fold in half so your circle becomes a 1/2 circle for the hand palm.
For each finger, thread through both sides of the half circle and sl st. chain 3-5 depending on the finger size. sc in the second chain from hook, in each chain down, and one sc where you sl st.  sl st in the next stitch and repeat to make the next finger.  Repeat across the top of the half circle to make your fingers. For the thumb, make a smaller finger nearer to the side of the hand. sl st and faster off.  Sew to sleeve.

Shoes:
simple rounds starting with 4 sc in the second chain from hook.
2 sc around (8) repeat until desired shoe size. Stuff. Fasten off

Leg 1:
I used a thinner yarn for the pants.
Create your round with magic ring or chain 2.
6 sc
2 sc around (12)
repeat around until desired length.  Stuff and close.  Sew shoe to pants. Sew pant leg to bottom of sweater.

Leg 2:
Repeat as Leg 1 but stop after 4 rounds.  Decease two together until 6 st remain. fasten off.
In grey begin round with 8 sc. repeat 8 sc around for 5 rows.  do not stuff.  sew onto pant leg.  Attach blue or pant colour to the bottom of the grey leg, 2 sc in the first st, 1 in the next. Repeat around (12).  Sc in each around for 3-4 rows.  sl st and fasten off. Stuff bottom pant leg.  Sew on shoe.

Shirt:
In white ch 6. One single across (5). Chain 1, Turn. Repeat until shirt is right size (see picture). sew on jacket.

Collar:
In white: ch 3, sc across, chain 1 turn and repeat until desired size.  Sew on shirt so that the corner points up.

Tie:
In red: ch 3, sc across (2). chain 1, turn and sc across. When complete, sl st two together to form a point.  fasten off.  Sew to shirt.

Enjoy!!
